Do Storage or Road Trailers going against a dock require a roll-up door?
When parking a trailer with a roll-up door against a loading dock, you can easily walk into the dock and roll the door up. For trailers with swing doors, it is crucial to ensure that the door hold-backs are secured to the trailer. If the hold-backs are not properly secured, there is a higher risk of damage to the trailer.
What is the load rating for Eagle Leasing’s Storage Trailer stairs?
The Storage Trailer stairs have a 300lb point load or a 100lbs per square foot load.
Does Eagle Leasing have any Trailers with liftgates?
We do have a small amount of inventory of Road Trailers with liftgates for sale and for lease. Please call us at 1-800-GET-EAGLE to see what we have available.
What is the biggest trailer you can rent?
The largest option for renting a storage trailer is 53 feet long with either overhead roll-up or swing doors. You also can rent Office Trailers, with our biggest unit measuring 10 feet by 50 feet. Our selection of office trailers for sale ranges from 8 feet by 20 feet to 10 feet by 50 feet.
How high off the ground is “dock-height”?
While most loading docks are set at 52” off the ground, some loading docks are set between 48” to 51” off the ground. In these situations, a dock leveler will make it possible load directly into the road or storage trailer. If your building is old or used in a specialty application, you will need to measure height off the ground your trailer so we can find the right trailer to meet your application.
Do you offer any insurance to protect the contents of my unit?
Yes, we do! We offer a variety of options to cover the contents of your personal or business items. You can check out more information on our offerings here.
Can we store items on top of the trailer?
No, Eagle Leasing does not allow customer to store anything on top of the roof
If the trailer is parked on a slight incline, will it roll once the tractor drops the trailer?
No, once the tractor disconnects form the trailer, the trailer brakes will automatically lock.
If we rent a storage trailer from Eagle Leasing, can we hire someone to move it for us?
No, Eagle Leasing must handle all trailer moves.
How high are trailers from the ground?
The floor of our storage trailers is generally 52 inches above the ground.
How often do trailers need to be inspected?
Federal law requires all road trailers to be inspected once per year.
How thick is the wood floor in my trailer ?
Trailer flooring is typically made of 1-3/8-inch-thick oak wood.
What is the advantage of overhead and swing door trailers?
The advantage of an overhead door trailer is that the trailer can be brought directly to dock while the doors are closed. Once the trailer is at the dock, the doors can be opened without moving the trailer. The disadvantage of an overhead door trailer is that since the door rolls up, the trailer will lose some overhead space when the door is closed. The advantage of a swing door trailer is you have more interior clearance, while the disadvantage of a swing door trailer is you are unable to open the trailer while the trailer is at a dock. 
What is the difference between a 96-inch-wide trailer and a 102-inch-wide trailer?
Since a 96-inch-wide trailer is only capable of holding one pallet in its 96 inches of width, the trailer it is best for holding non-palletized cargo. A 102-inch trailer can hold two pallets side by side and is ideal for holding palletized cargo.
How many pallets fit in a Storage Trailer?
What is the interior height of Storage or Road Trailer?
The interior height of a flat-floor trailer is up to 110 inches. If you are looking for a drop frame trailer, the interior height can be as high as 116 inches. You can see an example of a 116in high trailer in the picture below.

What do I do if my rental unit or accessory is damaged ?
Eagle Leasing will provide all routine maintenance free of charge for all our rental equipment. Otherwise, please contact us to discuss the damage.
Do I need a lock for an Eagle Leasing Storage Container or Storage Trailer?
There is a place on the container for you to place your own padlock. For additional protection, we offer 13-pound heavy-duty Eagle Locks®.
